Dan graduated from the University of Michigan in 1975. He was a branch manager for Farm Credit Services where he loaned money and analyzed financial statements for credit purposes. Dan was Jonah Certified by Eli Goldratt, physicist and author in constraint management in 1994. Dan is a QuickBooks Certified Pro Advisor. The company was the first to be "e-file" certified by the IRS in the State of Michigan. Not only is Dan a CPA but he is an AICPA Certified Specialist in Estate Planning (CSEP). He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Dan played football his freshman year for Bo Schemblecher at the U of M. He was a member of the University of Michigan Flying Club where he won the state competition in spot landing. He was also on the Michigan State University Livestock Judging Team.
Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Dan was raised in the Milan / Saline area. Dan married Liz Carmody from Manistee in 1976.

Liz was born in Manistee, Michigan and graduated from Manistee High School. She attended Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa and graduated from Michigan State University. Liz taught school for Ithaca Public Schools, Carson City Public Schools and West Shore Community College. Liz has worked with Dan in the practice since 1981. Liz and Dan have two children. Pete is a graduate of Northern Michigan University and works in Lansing. Elissa is a junior at Michigan State University.

Mike has been in practice over 25 years specializing in small businesses and individuals with an emphasis in consulting, estate planning, tax planning and tax preparation. Mike is a graduate of Manistee High School, he attended Davenport College and graduated from Western Michigan University in 1982. Mike worked for two local firms in the Detroit area before relocating back to Manistee in 1989. Mike received his Certified Specialist in Estate Planning (CSEP) designation in 1999. Mike is a member of the AlCPA, MACPA and is currently the treasurer of the Manistee County Community Foundation and past board member of the Manistee County Junior Baseball/Softball league.

Ariel joined Daniel D Laskey Company PC in June of 2000 as a Staff Accountant. Ariel provides client services which include payroll processing and reporting as a client service, and client write up. She also provides assistance to small and medium sized businesses with after-the-fact payroll tax calculations and reporting, and support for QuickBooks. Ariel has 7 years experience in providing QuickBooks setup and support for all versions of QuickBooks. She received an Associates in Accounting from West Shore Community College and a Bachelors in Business from Davenport University.
